Katie Rose Davis (they/she) is a dancer, multimedia artist, and writer based in Philadelphia, PA. She will graduate with honors from the University of the Arts with a BFA in Dance. Katie Rose’s performance experience spans a breadth of styles, ranging from improvisational work to hip hop to contemporary ballet. She is most interested in work that explores interpersonal relationships, politics, and radical social change. She has worked with choreographers Jule Lane, Maleek Washington, Boris Charmatz, Sidra Bell, and others, and recently performed in music videos by Dionte Gill which celebrate body positivity and sexuality. Her own artistic work seeks to normalize and celebrate different body and brain types, as well as explore her own queer, womxn identity and neurodivergence. She loves to work with others within the confines of specific themes, seeing how different peoples’ perspectives can shape our understanding of deep and complex topics. She is also moved to create works that incorporate different media, often letting broad ideas and topics she’s passionate about influence the mediums she uses throughout the artistic process.
